Acrylic Nail Kit.................? ?

I bought a $16 Acrylic Nail Kit at Wal Mart and the nails are wonderful except I decided I didn't like the design so I painted them myself and then put the acrylic coat on but I didn't get them how I wanted them but I already put my acrylic over the paint so can I just PAINT on the top of my acrylic with nail polish and then put a coat of acrylic on top after it dries? Would that be okay? Or can you not paint on acrylic on and then paint over it and then put more acrylic on???Acrylic Nail Kit.................? ?
